Hey everyone!

So, it's been forever... I keep telling myself I'm going to update, but I never get around to it.
Anyway, here I am, for realz. Umm:::: so there's this contest, and it might win my school's environmental club a lot of money to do cool stuff next year. I would be eternally grateful if you voted for me.

I love you all. How is everyone?

I’m looking for a high-quality travel mug that I can bring to school with me as soon as winter break is over. Does anyone have any suggestions? It must be sturdily made, and it shouldn’t leak when it’s closed. Extra points to anyone who can find something that’s extra environmentally friendly and doesn’t contain toxic ingredients.

So LiveJournal has this thing where you can enter your current location, and in my last entry I wrote "HOME!" When you hover over the location, it usually pops up with a little map of wherever you are. But it has no idea where "HOME!" is supposed to be. Even so, it decided that it was going to give me a map... of somewhere in the middle of Kansas.

Awesome.

So, tonight I just arrived home for winter break. Nora and I made a very last-minute, quick decision to leave Friday afternoon rather than Saturday morning, which we were going to do for fear of inclement weather and/or extreme darkness and tiredness. But we took our chances, because we really wanted home.

I haven't actually posted a personal blog entry since immediately before I came to Clarkson! 4-year college seems to have become quite a timesuck for me... I've been busier in these past few months than I can ever remember being, and that's definitely saying something. Being home is going to be really nice. I plan to have an extremely low-commitment, easy break.

Happy snowyness! And for all of you who just got home from college, welcome! And for all of you who have yet to come home, have a safe trip! And for all of you who've been here, yay!

Home is a lot different than Clarkson. Let me know if you're available to hang out... I have 2 and a half weeks left here. I'm going to spend some of it at Trimount, helping out; some of it working on stuff I'm supposed to know before the semester begins; and the rest of it relaxing and having fun. Next week, Nora and I are going to the city and seeing Spamalot! Woo! I'm really, amazingly excited. We're going to explore the city first, which is always fun, and... I've never seen a Broadway show before! It's going to be insane, I know it already. Right now, I'm taking a short break from finishing up Harry Potter. It's surprisingly enjoyable. I am not a big fan, but I have already read all the older books, and so I thought I might as well pick up the last one, too. In other exiting news: I just rediscovered all of my old Japanese friends on Facebook. It's really cool to be in some semblance of communication; it's been so long. (Eight years! Craziness!)

Oh, and I updated my default LJ user icon. What does everyone think??

1. Virtools is almost done saving. Seriously. Every time I have to use this program, I am paranoid and want to save all the time because I do things that I dont want to have to do again after it crashes, but saving takes about 10 minutes. What is Virtools, you ask? It's a 3D modeling program. See, I am up at Clarkson University this summer, building a 3D environment for children with Cerebral Palsy to learn to use powered wheelchairs in. I am sorry I haven't updated earlier, but things have been - new, different, and crazy.

2. I get to go home soon. And hang out with Nora. This makes me incomparably happy. This is the longest amount of time since we've officially met that I haven't been able to hang out with you. I miss you.

3. Rage against the Machine. On Saturday, Matt and Joey and I are going down to the city to the Rock the Bells music festival. There are going to be lots of famous rappers there, which I'm not amazingly excited about. But.... RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE is playing. I thought I would never get to see them in concert, and then they got back together. Hardcore!

4. This fall, I am going to an amazing, happy, fun school. Seriously. Clarkson seems to fit me almost perfectly. Hiking and camping in the Adirondacks, lots of nerdy/cool people, and challenging classes. People here seem to have exactly the same music taste as I do. Plus, there is ultimate frisbee. What could be better?

5. This summer program is almost over. This means, no more Virtools. Woot.

6. August is coming. In August, I'll be home, and able to hang out lots with all of you, before everyone goes off to college again.
